2. Los Muertos Pier
Los Muertos Pier is one of Puerto Vallarta’s most iconic landmarks, located at the heart of the Romantic Zone on the popular Playa Los Muertos. Rebuilt and inaugurated in 2013, the pier features a striking sail-shaped structure that lights up beautifully at night, creating one of the most recognizable silhouettes on the city’s coastline.

During the day, the pier is a lively hub for beachgoers and a main departure point for water taxis heading to the southern beaches, including Las Animas, Yelapa, and Quimixto. Its wide, curved walkway extends out over the water, offering fantastic views of Banderas Bay, the surrounding mountains, and the bustling beachfront.

Visitors often stroll along the pier to enjoy the fresh ocean breeze, watch fishing boats come and go, or simply take photos of the dramatic architecture. In the evenings, the illuminated sail changes color, making it a romantic spot for couples and a favorite place to enjoy sunset over the bay.

Whether you're catching a boat or just soaking in the scenery, Los Muertos Pier is a must-see stop in Puerto Vallarta’s vibrant seaside life.
